Gina Femrite was born in West Germany. She started her art training at an early age under her father J.
Strater, a contemporary European Impressionist.
She also attended the College
of Art and Skills in Saarbruecken West Germany
to further her studies into the range of
illustration and designer art.
Armed with the knowledge of both
fine art and design, Gina began working fulltime in her father’s
studio where she developed a style rooted in French impressionism
but identifiable as her own.
Her talent was quickly
recognized by art galleries and art agencies throughout
Europe. She was offered a fulltime contract with Harry’s Galleries and the
Paul Schwarz agency. This successful relationship lasted until Gina decided
to move
with her husband David Femrite to his
homeland, the United States of America
In
America, Gina was challenged with learning a new language and new customs.
She returned to college in Eugene Oregon, where she studied digital
art and multi media.
For the last
twenty years
Gina has been successful with her western and Native American art.
She also lunched a carrier in commercial and illustrative
art. Her work is been published by Western Graphics, Impact Images,
Posters by Impact on Line and Life’s Foot Print book publishers.
In 2007 Gina decided to
return to her roots and to paint European art. She is exited
to share her new work with the American and international public.
