Born
in Germany, Gina began her career as an artist at a very
early age. As a child, she studied under her father J. Strater
a well known artist proficient in many mediums.
It was from
him that Gina learned the techniques and skills that set her
work apart. Her paintings exhibit a bold and imaginative usage of color and light to create an environment of
ethereal, dream like quality, yet still bound to the
realistic treatment of the natural world.
Gina
enjoyed great success while living in Germany
with exhibits in some of the most popular galleries
throughout Europe. In
the midst of her career Gina decided to move to the United
States.
In
1988 Gina entered the art scene of America. Her art influenced by the flair of the European
styles began to
reflect the more rugged nuance of the western United States.
The fields, vast woods and the Native American culture became
the subjects in her work. She toured many prestigious
western art shows and received many awards.
Just
recently, Gina completed an additional college degree
in design and multi media to add
the world of illustrative art to her established fine art career. She has been successful in both lines with her work
being published by companies like Western
Graphics, The Oracle, Impact Images and Life’s Footprints.
Gina
is an asset to the artistic community and her works will
continue to provide pleasure to those viewing her
work.
